History
HCAR has been developing high-consequence automation solutions for more than 25 years. Paving the way for advancements in controls, perception, mobility, and manipulation, HCAR has made significant contributions to the field of robotics. Recently the Smithsonian came to HCAR looking for robots of historical significance and we provided nine for their permanent collection at the National Museum of American History. We have a large team of engineers and scientists working at HCAR who focus as closely on graceful degradation as they do in ensuring our technologies perform successfully. Our staff is dedicated to delivering unique solutions that solve challenging problems. We specialize in finding solutions to high-consequence issues before they become problems. In addition, we strive to look 10 to 15 years ahead of the technology curve and find solutions not only to high-consequence national security problems we face today but solutions to such problems we may face in the future.
