Biography
In his work investigating catalysts and combustion physics, Christopher Kliewer has developed an array of diagnostics in his role as Principal Investigator of the Ultrafast Nonlinear Optical Diagnostics Development Laboratory at the Combustion Research Facility. As part of the PRF, Dr. Kliewer applies and extends the diagnostics that he has developed for combustion and catalyst environments to LTP systems. In doing so, he is able to directly assess topics such as fast gas heating, generation of nonequilibrium distributions of rovibrational states, and boundary layer effects.
