Using Plato a designer can generate designs that are optimized to meet functional requirements. Plato is made up of two parts:

• A user-friendly environment for problem setup, job submission, progress monitoring, and post processing
• A powerful optimization engine that can run locally or on massively parallel high performance computing platforms.

The Plato environment offers an interactive design experience where the user can see the evolving design and make mid-stream corrections to guide the design optimization to better meet functional requirements.  The Plato design environment runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms.

Plato is available in a licensed version to qualified agencies or contractors.  The government license version comes with a user-friendly environment for problem setup, job submission, progress monitoring, and post processing. Available to U.S. Government agencies and contractors working under contract to the U.S. Government or one of its agencies. Additional information on obtaining a no-fee site license is detailed below.
