Biography

Daniel graduated with a BSc. in Physics w/ Astrophysics from the University of Hull in 2009. He then went on to the University of Warwick where earned an MSc. in Scientific Computing in 2010. He graduated in 2015 with a Ph.D. in Physics on the topic of kinetic plasma simulation. Daniel joined Sandia National Laboratories in 2021 as a Nuclear Engineer after working as a frequent collaborator on radiation transport code development since 2014. His areas of work include: sensitivities in the unfolding and adjustment of neutron/photon spectra, Monte Carlo transport, and radiation effects. He is the lead developer of the AXIOM (link to: https://www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/1821806) unfold code.
