DOE classifies Winalee Carter as ‘excellent’
In recognition of her exceptional service, Winalee Carter last month received the Department of Energy’s 2018 Classification Award of Excellence at the 53rd annual Classification Officers Technical Program Review meeting in Germantown, Maryland.
Shadid named SIAM fellow
Sandia computational scientist and mathematician John Shadid has been named a 2018 Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, based upon his research on solution methods for multiphysics systems, scalable parallel numerical algorithms and numerical methods for strongly coupled nonlinear partial differential equations.
Family friendly business award

Sandia LEEDs the way with New Mexico campus certification
The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the Sandia/New Mexico site a LEED v.4 for Campus Certification, the first such certification at a DOE lab. It's the largest LEED Campus Certification in the history of the program, as well as the first Version 4 certification in New Mexico.
