Biography

Luciano A. Garcia Rodriguez is a postdoctoral appointee at Sandia National Laboratories. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He received his B.S. in electronics engineering from the Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS), Argentina in 2010. He also received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2019. His research interests include converter topologies, controls and system integration for the new generation of energy storage systems.

  • New power electronics interfaces for energy storage systems
  • Reliability studies of new wide band gap devices, and materials for capacitors and magnetic components
  • High-voltage and high-current dc circuit breakers
