Biography

Jimmy Quiroz is a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the Renewable and Distributed Systems Integration department. His work includes a diverse portfolio of project-level work in topics including grid resilience, distribution system power flow analysis, transmission electromagnetic pulse impacts, and other grid related studies. Recent work has focused on utilizing Sandia’s Microgrid Design Toolkit (MDT) to inform energy assurance for a variety of sectors including vulnerable communities and critical infrastructure. Jimmy received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems from New Mexico State University.
