Biography

Cody J. Newlun is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in the Electric Power Systems Research Department at Sandia National Laboratories. He received a B.A. in physics with a minor in mathematics from Hasting College. He received a M.Eng. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power and energy systems from Iowa State University. His research interests include power system expansion planning, power system optimization, power system resilience, and renewable energy and energy storage integration.
