Biography

Since 2018, Andrea Ambrosini has been a Principal Member of the Technical Staff in the Concentrating Solar Technologies department. Andrea’s research involves the synthesis, characterization, and development of functional oxide materials for renewable energy applications, particularly concentrating solar power and solar-thermal chemistry. She has over 50 publications, 4 published patents and 2 patents pending. Prior to joining Sandia, Andrea was a post-doctoral fellow for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) at Laboratoire CRISMAT in Caen, France.
