The National Solar Thermal Testing Facility (NSTTF) aims to deliver exceptional optical metrology services both locally and globally and support solar fields worldwide.

Our optical metrology services include developing precise and reliable solutions for challenging issues such as accelerated tracking calibration, in-situ optical assessment, field health monitoring, outdoor high-resolution optical surface mapping, and dynamic assessment of wind impacts on optics. Additionally, we strive to enhance advanced heliostat field control. These solutions are designed to be easily accessible to the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) industry, facilitating a seamless transition from prototype development to factory calibration, field calibration, and operational phases.

Current features and capabilities:

  • UFACET-1
  • SOFAST Extreme Temperature Measurement
  • Ground Truth Metrology
  • Mobile metrology (Coming soon!)
