Biography

Ramesh Koripella is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories since 2011. He is a materials scientist and engineer with more than 30 years R&D experience in electronic components and power sources development. In the energy storage systems group, he performs technical analysis of different battery technologies and hydrogen storage technologies for grid storage applications. He is the technical lead for the thermoelectric power sources development in the power sources group at Sandia. Prior to Sandia, he was with Motorola research labs, GenTherm and KEMET electronics. At Motorola, he led the small fuel cells development effort, where the team explored a broad range of technologies including direct methanol fuel cells, methanol fuel reformer, reformed hydrogen fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, hydrogen generation and PEM fuel cells for portable power applications.
