Are you a student thinking of a career in marine energy? Are you an educator seeking resources to introduce the growing water power industry to your students?
Join Sandia National Laboratories for “An Introduction to Water Power,” an all-academia webinar, April 24, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. MT.
The United States has set clear goals to cut carbon emissions in half by 2030, reach 100 percent carbon pollution-free electricity by 2030, and achieve net-zero emissions across Federal operations by 2050. Listen as national laboratory scientists researching water power explain the benefits of this clean energy, including reduced carbon emissions, greater U.S. energy independence, increased affordability, and enhanced reliability, security, and resilience.
Researchers will also share their personal experiences in water power:
- How did they become interested in water power?
- What paths did they take to be become marine energy researchers?
- What types of research are they currently working on?
The virtual meeting will include a Q&A session, and the opportunity to learn more about academic opportunities and fellowships.
