Leadership for the energy programs at Sandia National Laboratories

Andrew McIlroy

Andrew McIlroy is the Associate Labs Director for the Integrated Security Solutions Division at Sandia National Laboratories. He has primary responsibility for Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security mission portfolio.


Fawn Turner

Fawn Turner is Deputy for Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio. Working through matrixed teams, Fawn is responsible for strategic integration of the portfolio and stewardship of the portfolio’s internally funded Laboratory Directed Research and Development investment area.


Sarah Allendorf

Sarah Allendorf is the Director of the Chemistry, Combustion, and Materials Science Center, which advances fundamental ground-breaking research in chemical and material sciences. Sarah also serves as the Program Area Director for the Transportation & Industrial Processes Program within Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio.


Amanda Dodd

Amanda Dodd is the Director of the Computation and Analysis for National Security Center, which focuses on anticipating and reducing national security risks by developing and applying cross-domain computational and analytical capabilities. Amanda is also the Program Area Director for the Homeland Infrastructure Security and Resilience Program within Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio.


Amy Halloran

Amy Halloran is the Director of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Grid Modernization Center, which focuses on the safety, security, and resilience of nuclear power and the electric grid, and the safe management and disposal of radioactive wastes. Amy also serves as the Program Area Director for the Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Grid Modernization Program within Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio.


Robert Leland

Robert Leland is the Director of Sandia’s Climate Security Center. Rob leads climate strategy development across the Labs and directs the Earth Sciences Research Foundation. Rob also serves as Program Area Director for the Renewable and Fossil Energy Program within Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio.

Craig Tewell

Craig Tewell is the Director of Sandia’s Biological, Radiation, and Signature Science, Technology, and Engineering Center, which performs exploratory science and develops technology to address pressing national needs in energy security, homeland security, and national defense. Craig also serves as Program Area Director for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense within Sandia’s Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio.
