Biography

Marios Theristis is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff in the Photovoltaics and Materials Technology Program at Sandia National Laboratories where he leads the PV Performance Modeling Collaborative (PVPMC). His research interests include PV performance modeling and monitoring, and the application of data analytics on topics related to reliability, degradation, O&M, and failure diagnostics/prognostics.

Prior to joining Sandia National Laboratories in 2019, he was at the University of Cyprus, Cyprus (2016-2019), the University of Jaén, Spain (2016), Fraunhofer CSE, USA (2015), and NCSR “Demokritos,” Greece (2010-2011). Marios received his Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece (2011), and his PhD from Heriot-Watt University, UK (2016).
