Biography

Samuel T. Ojetola is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. His expertise includes, power system dynamics and control, improvement of grid reliability and resilience to extreme events, machine-learning based protection for distributed networks, and renewable energy integration. Before joining Sandia, he was an intern at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, where he contributed to the development of the Dynamic Contingency Analysis Tool (DCAT). Dr. Ojetola is also involved with the IEEE Energy Storage & Stationary Battery Committee for developing recommended practice for energy storage management systems in energy storage applications. He received his BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria and his MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport, CT. He also holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT.
