Max Bergmann, from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), discussed the far-reaching consequences of Russia’s 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The invasion marked a turning point in post-Soviet history–reshaping Russia’s role on the global stage. Russian nuclear command and control and strategic stability was the subject of Dr. David Arceneaux‘s seminar. Arceneaux is the Rossetti Fellow for Future Conflict at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Institute for Future Conflict and an assistant professor of political science at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. For the last seminar in this CMC Series, Curtis Lee Fox discussed Russian hybrid warfare as an extension of conventional conflict when diplomatic and informational elements of national power break down.
