
STEM Day for Girls is an event to celebrate Women’s History Month for students. It’s a day when 4th & 5th graders spend time on the Las Positas College campus where they will participate in three interactive STEM workshops led by women professionals from Sandia National Laboratories, the Tri-Valley branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Las Positas College.
2025 Event details
When: March 8, 2025, drop-off at 9:30 a.m. and pick-up at 2:00 p.m.
Where: Las Positas College in Livermore, CA
Audience: 4th & 5th grade girls from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Mountain House, Tracy and the surrounding areas.
Cost: FREE

After the event, parents may consider taking their child to observe a round of the middle school DOE Science Bowl competition which also takes place at Las Positas College. It’s a great way to expose young scholars to STEM opportunities available to them after elementary school.
