- Tune your radio and/or TV to local news outlets and stay tuned during the emergency to receive updated information and instructions.
- Follow instructions from local elected officials, emergency management officials, or law enforcement officials regarding taking shelter, evacuation, or other protective actions.
- Minimize routine telephone usage during an emergency.
- Do not call 911 for information about the incident. Unnecessary use could delay calls relating to the emergency. Do call 911 to report dangerous situations.
