Fellowships

Test ideas, follow your dreams

Sandia offers various fellowship opportunities to exceptional individuals in support of our national security mission. Our Distinguished Level Fellowships, the Jill Hruby and President Harry S. Truman Fellowships, are self-directed three-year appointments that are fully supported with state-of-the-art instruments, research mentoring, and generous salaries in support of any of our mission areas. Our Foundation Level Fellowships are generally two-year appointments which include up to half of the fellow’s time on self-directed research and are discipline specific.

Sandia provides postdoctoral fellows with professional development opportunities and prepares fellows to conduct independent, groundbreaking research. Best of all, Sandia surrounds postdoctoral fellows with a lasting community of thoughtful researchers united in their goal to make the world a better place.
